Really great read, Carla. On the flip side, you can see how exhausting being the " face" of a club can be for managers. It's one of the reasons why Pep said he'll never return to Barça.

I wonder if we're going to see a shift in manager culture once we begin to have a heavy crop of managers who are millennials

I completely agree. The shift toward managers acting as the all-in public persona for a club carries a massive burden, particularly when they are as deeply tied to the brand identity as Pep is.

Additionally, your question raises an interesting point. Current communication tendencies were built around previous generations, but we are now experiencing huge shifts in behavior regarding media management and brand consumption.

Messi's generation will probably be the last one that carries millennial communication habits into the manager field.
